Dr Hendrike Mc Donald

Early Childhood Development Clinician Researcher, Department of Paediatrics and Child Health

Research Interests

My research focuses on developmental disorders and early childhood development, with a particular interest in scalable, context-appropriate technologies to strengthen developmental care in majority world settings. Working at the intersection of clinical care and research allows me to advocate for equitable access to early identification, diagnosis, treatment and care for children with developmental differences, coupling clinical insights with research evidence to drive change in practice. I also have a focus on how to accurately measure brain function and behaviour in our populations to allow the best possible evidence to be gathered.
