Mandela Day Collection Drive 2025 - until 18 July!!!

Please help us collect non-perishables this Mandela Day (18 July). Or make a cash donation (codes to scan). Collection boxes UCT Neuroscience Institute atrium & Human Biology Dept reception or email hayley.tomes@uct.ac.za to arrange collection. **Also seeking any food retailer contacts that would be willing to give discount/cost prices on non-perishables for this drive!!** The Friends of Valkenburg Trust do incredible work supporting patients as they leave Valkenburg and integrate back into usually life routine. These patients come back monthly to collect a food pack and FoV are in desperate need of more supplies. UCT Food Sovereignty programme – too many of our students face food insecurity, and since we are acutely aware of how much energy brains need, especially brains that are studying hard!, we would like to help add to their stocks so that their programme can continue to serve. It has been going since 2018, also supplies a monthly pack of provisions, and currently supports 220 undergraduate and 334 postgraduate students.
