Research Interests

My research is focused on understanding the cognitive and affective consequences of healthy and disrupted sleep. I am interested in memory and emotional regulation processes during this state. A substantial part of my research examines the ways interrupted sleep is associated with emotion dysregulation and psychiatric disturbances, with a specific interest in posttraumatic stress disorder, generalised anxiety disorder and depression. My research examines these association in adults and adolescents living in both lower and higher income environments.
