Dr Dorit Hockman

Research Interests

Research in the Hockman lab focusses on understanding the dynamics of gene regulation during cell development and maturation, as well as exploring the evolution of these processes in order to improve our understanding of human brain maturation, focusing on the pediatric brain and to understand the evolution and development of the neural crest, a vertebrate-specific tissue which gives rise to the peripheral nervous system.
