Dr Nyameka Dyakalashe (MBChB(WSU), FCPsych(SA), Cert Forensic Psychiatry(SA)) is a psychiatrist and Head of Clinical Unit at Forensics Mental Health Services at Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital and the Head of the Division of Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Cape Town (UCT). She has over a decade of experience as a specialist psychiatrist, with additional experience in clinical research and medical education. She is also involved in the postgraduate training programme in forensic psychiatry at UCT.
