Research Interests
As part of the Sleep Science group, my research is centered around sleep and circadian rhythms, with a particular focused on how sleep, stress and the autonomic nervous system are associated with risk for depression, anxiety and PTSD, and the role of low socioeconomic status environments in influencing these mental health outcomes. I am currently working on the Sleep CHAMPzzz study - a longitudinal, Wellcome Trust-funded study investigating how changes in sleep in adolescents may either promote resilience or increase risk for depression and anxiety.
