What Criteria Should Describe HIV-Related Cognitive Impairment?

In a recent article published by The Body Pro NI researcher, A/Prof Sam Nightingale argues that the issue of neurocognitive impairment is often overstated in today’s context of effective antiretroviral therapy, given the current diagnostic criteria, which leads to blatant discrimination for those living with HIV!

This view is based on findings from research done by UCT's HIV Mental Health and Research Unit, based at the Neuroscience Institute.
