The 2026 Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) Global Mental Health Symposium will explore the interplay between digital technologies and mental health, while examining and raising critical questions about persistent gaps in access and equity. As digitalisation accelerates, so too must our understanding of its ethical, social, political and cultural dimensions.

Hosted at the University of Cape Town, this symposium will bring together academics, practitioners, policymakers, students, community organisations and persons with lived experiences from around the world to exchange ideas, share research, and co-create inclusive theories and strategies for the future of mental health in a digitised world.
